Like all fall detection technology, it may not detect every type of fall, including soft falls or slow, controlled descents. You can always press the alarm button manually whenever you need help.

Eliza S connects you to our 24/7 monitoring centre

As soon as an alarm is triggered, either automatically by Vibby or manually by pressing the button, Eliza S connects you to our UK monitoring centre. There is no need to reach for a phone.

We arrange the right help

An operator will speak to you through the Eliza S unit, assess what has happened and follow your agreed emergency plan. They can contact a family member, neighbour or the emergency services if needed, and stay with you until help has been arranged.

How does the Vibby fall detector work?

Vibby is worn on your wrist and uses built-in sensors to detect a fall. If a fall is detected, it automatically raises an alarm through your Eliza S and connects you to our 24/7 monitoring centre. You can also press the button manually whenever you need help.

What happens if I fall and cannot press the alarm button?

That is one of the main benefits of Vibby. If it detects a fall, it can automatically raise the alarm for you. Our monitoring team will try to speak to you through the Eliza S and, if needed, contact your nominated keyholder or the emergency services.

Will Vibby detect every fall?

Vibby is designed to detect sudden, heavy falls automatically. As with all fall detection technology, some softer or slower falls may not be detected. If you are able to, you can always press the Vibby button manually to raise an alarm and connect to our 24/7 monitoring centre.

Do I need a landline or home phone?

No. Eliza S uses mobile connectivity rather than relying on a traditional analogue telephone line. Simply plug the Eliza S into a power socket and it connects to the Careium monitoring service

What happens if Vibby triggers an alarm by mistake?

If Vibby detects a fall, it gives you an opportunity to cancel the alarm before it is sent. If an alert does reach our monitoring centre and you are fine, simply tell the operator that no assistance is required.

Do I need to charge Vibby?

No. Vibby uses a replaceable battery with a battery life of up to approximately two years, so there is no daily charging to remember. Careium recommends replacing the battery at around 18 months.

Is Eliza S + Vibby difficult to set up?

No. Eliza S is designed for simple installation. Connect it to mains power, switch it on and test the system. Vibby works together with Eliza S, so once everything is set up you have both manual alarm activation and automatic fall detection in one system.
