We have been made aware of a customer recently contacted by a company saying their pendant alarm was no longer working and that they were taking over the service as part of a government scheme and tried to get their bank details. This is a scam, the phone number is 020 3740 8567 and there are many negative reports about this phone number online.
- We would never cold call and ask for bank details in such a way.
- Never reveal personal or financial details over phone.
- Sign up to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) – it allows you to opt out of receiving sales and marketing calls. https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/
- If in doubt, hang up and call us back to check the call was genuine.
